Abstract |
The editorial board of the journal “Economic Theory and Law” organized a discussion on the development of economic and management education at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. Leading employers of Kharkiv region took part in the round table. Among them were: Parkulab V. G., Managing Partner of the Law Firm “Globus”, Ph. D. (Legal Sciences); Prudnikov V. A., Director of the Publishing House “Law”, Ph. D. (Legal Sciences); Opashko D. V., Director of the commercial firm “ATTICA-TRADING”; Voloshina V. O., Managing Director of the consulting firm “SIT-Consult”. The scientists of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University participated in the discussion, including: Borysenko I. V., Dean of the Finance and Law Faculty, Ph. D. (Legal Sciences), Associate Professor; Shevchenko L. S., Head of the Department of Economic Theory, Doctor of Sciences (Economic Sciences), Professor, Academic Advisor of the educational program “Business Economics”, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal; Marchenko O. S., Doctor of Sciences (Economic Sciences), Professor, Academic Advisor of the educational program “Business Consulting”, managing editor of the journal; Levkovets O. M., Ph. D. (Economic Sciences), Associate Professor, Academic Advisor of the educational program “Business Administration”. The training of professionals in business consulting and business administration is essential because it gives business entities the new knowledge and information they need to make a profitable and competitive business. The participants of the round table analyzed the content of the educational programs of the second (master’s) level of higher education “Business Consulting” and “Business Administration”, which are implemented at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. Speakers concluded that the programs are modern, innovative, oriented to the tendencies of development of national and regional labor markets. They noted that the training of professionals in the program “BusinessConsulting” is complex and combines professional training, business training, and service training. The program forms an understanding of the social responsibility of the consulting business, the importance of adhering to the professional, business and ethical standards of business consulting. The training of professionals in the program of “Business Administration” is based not only on national experience, but also on the experience of Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania). In addition, the program incorporates a unique concept of the managers training with advanced legal knowledge. This enhances the competitive advantages of graduates in the labor market. They can work in organizations of different types, create their own businesses and administer individual business projects. In general, the discussion drew considerable attention to the improvement of curricula, the problems of employment of graduates of educational programs, prospects for the development of educational programs in economics and management at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. |
