Abstract

Problem setting. Innovative systems are strategic factors of sustainable economic development. Due to increase of the role of an ecological factor and ecological innovations in formation of business entities in recent years there is a need to form innovative ecosystems.
Recent research and publications analysis. The concept «innovative ecosystem» becomes more and more widespread as an object of research of scholars from different countries. Among them are A. Bramwell, C. Edquist, and N. Smorodynska.
Paper objective. The paper objective is to indicate the sense and evolution of forma¬tion of theoretical and methodological frameworks of the innovative ecosystems.
Paper main body. An innovative ecosystem is a set of organizational, structural, and functional components (institutions) and their interrelations involved in the process of creation and application of scientific knowledge and technologies, which determine legal, economic, organizational, and social conditions of an innovative process and provide innovative activ¬ity development on an enterprise level as well as on a level of a region and a country in general according to the self-organization principles. The methodological framework of the innovative ecosystem concept consists of: the new growth theory, according to which effec-tive exchange of knowledge and technologies between academic institutions and enterprises is determined as a term of technological development and rapid economic growth; the evo¬lutionary theory, which examines regularities and historical heredity through technological and innovative dynamics; the neo-institutional theory, which analyzes issues related to de¬velopment and coordination of institutions, interrelations between market and non-market institutions and institutional dynamics. Peculiarities of the innovative ecosystem comprise: decentralization and balance of interests; prioritization and identification; a mutual activity; adaptability; openness and informational transparency.
Conclusions of the research. There is prospective necessity of development of me¬thodical approaches to assessment of an innovative territorial formation as an innovative ecosystem under Ukrainian contemporary conditions.
