Abstract |
Problem setting. In terms of the knowledge economy formation, an innovative activity is based on investments, which encompass different forms of intellectual investments becoming extremely important. Since the functions of knowledge production and supply are inherent to intellectual services, they become an object of intellectual investments, which plays a significant role in the innovative development. Recent research and publications analysis. Modern theoretic researches of intellectual services and intellectual investments are independent: scientists analyzing investments leave intellectual services outside the subject of research; while researchers of intellectual investments, as usual, are not concentrated on their investment nature disclosure. We may suppose that in terms of labor, production and entrepreneurship intellectualization these significant research directions must be connected in order to significantly extend scientific knowledge related to the innovative activity. Paper objective. An objective of the paper is to consider the content and connection of economic categories «intellectual investments» and «intellectual services» of an intellectual service investment role as an innovative development resource on the basis of analysis. Paper main body. According to legal approach intellectual investments are inputs in intellectual values, which are the following: ownership rights for intellectual property and codified knowledge in production, innovative and other objects performed to receive revenue and to reach a social effect. According to economic approach intellectual investments are inputs in knowledge, which form the content of an intellectual product (service) thatobtains different forms, commercializes, and becomes an intellectual investment product (good) and an object of the investment resource market. Intellectual services as a special channel of professional skills and information transfer as well as an institutional source of human capital accumulation are determined as a specific object of intellectual investments. Intellectual services are investment intellectual product, purchasing expenses for which on the investment resource market are considered as intellectual investments in human capital of an individual, a firm, a society, which provide the innovative development and revenue gaining. Conclusions of the research. Intellectual services consisting of professional skills and information have the features of informational and innovative services with innovative and studying effects. Inputs of innovative activity actors in intellectual services are determined as intellectual investments in innovations. |
