Abstract

We consider historical preconditions and the origins of the crisis and the erosion of public confi dence in the state, which were formed in the twentieth and twentyfirst centuries in the Soviet and post-Soviet Ukraine, and the main stages. The causes, factors and trends of the development of the crisis of public confidence in
the state and public institutions are systematized. The current state of this problem and its possible solutions are analized.
