Paper objective. The author assigns a task to prove that the presence and a high level of a competitive environment in the internal market is the main factor providing the global competitiveness of the country.
Paper main body. The main pre-condition of the country competitiveness is a position of the competitive environment in the internal markets of the country, which is described by the index of market concentration characterizing a level of concentration of companiesproducers of a particular product in a certain market. The highest level of market concentration is observed in the extracting industry, the transport and the communications, the health protection, the area of social aids, the processing industry, and the financial activity. The large-scale monopolization of the economy restrains the creation of the competitive environment, deforms and criminalizes the economy.

2. To strengthen control over export of capital and export operations.
3. To significantly increase an amount of taxes for monopolies, oligopolies, monopsonies, and oligopsonies.
4. To strengthen powers of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine through amending the competition legislation and the Criminal Code.
5. To significantly strengthen penalty sanctions for the misuse of a monopolistic position.
6. To control a process of giving preferences for business entities and to inform the society concerning such actions.
7. To improve the methods of assigning penalties for an infringer of the antitrust legislation.
8. With the aim to provide competitive benefits of the domestic producers in the national and the world markets there is a need to provide the organizational, financial, legal, and informational support of the high-technology park «Bionic Hill».
