Abstract

The article is dedicated to the interrelationship of human capital and sustainable development of world economy. Especial attention is paid to «biological» component of aggregated human capital, in particular to demographic aspects such as population size, composition, distribution, health and way of life. Strong but
largely contradictory interdependence between these components of human capital and contemporary problems of sustainable economic development is revealed.
