Abstract

The article traces and calculates on the basis of analytical and statistical materials the relationship between the level of crime in the country and economic factors: the level of unemployment, the dynamics of average income and GDP per capita, budget expenditures for financing law enforcement agencies. The direct and indirect economic losses of the criminal as a result of sanctions and society from existing crime are summarized. The criteria for the optimal volume of offenses are substantiated.
