Abstract

This article reviews the modern political economy in a selection of the methodological instruments of practical economic policy. The analysis of the mainstream is made. The mainstream is viewed as a theoretical basis of the practical economic policy in the development of the advanced economies. The position for a critical view in using the neoclassical economic theory for the transitional economies is vindicated. The keeping forward concept of economic development is determined as a perspective one. The author’s characteristic of the accelerated economic development as an integrative model is made.
